SEXUAL CHOICES
PLAN YOUR FUTURE
- Be choosy about whom you go
out with, only those that share your convictions.
- Plan your time wisely and
stick with it. Too much free time could cause too much
temptation.
- Get an accountability buddy!
- Respect your date as
if they were your best friend’s
mate.
- Keep away from private places. Privacy
leads to imtimacy.
- Set your limits and stick to them.
- Go out in groups so you
can concentrate on personality rather
than the physical.
- Choose friends wisely – are
they pulling you up or dragging
you down?
- Protect your future. You are responsible
for your own dreams, goals and FUTURE!
You are faced
with huge choices when it comes to sex. And the
results of these choices can be even bigger. With pregnancy
and diseases, it may even be life or death. You are created as a unique, beautiful person who is worth
waiting for. Everybody wants someone who will love and
cherish them for
the rest of their lives. But how do you find that person?
Is it realistic to save sex for marriage? What if that
is no longer an
option for you?
Life can be complicated. We are here
to listen and to help you think through these choices. Call today
to talk to
someone who
can help you sort it all out. 931-381-4024 or 24 hours

Prevention Programs
The Pregnancy Center of Columbia is committed to educating youth
and young adults to make healthy choices regarding sex,
love, and relationships. We are available to speak at schools, churches,
and community organizations. Our abstinence educators
will answer questions openly and honestly. We not only educate the youth on
the risks of being sexually active outside a committed
marriage relationship, we also provide them the tools to make healthier
choices.
For more information or to schedule
any of these programs, call 931-381-4024 or email worththewait@pregnancycentercolumbia.org.
School
Curriculum
The Pregnancy Center of Columbia provides our area schools
with Choosing the Best for seventh and ninth graders.
Our trained staff
and volunteers present the curriculum which covers:
- Setting goals
- Consequences and risks of sexual activity
- Sexually Transmitted Diseases
- Pressures
- Refusal skills
- Self esteem and respect
- Healthy relationships
The goal of this program is to educate the youth in our community
on the risks of being sexually active and the benefits of
waiting until marriage.
Church Programs
We offer various faith-based programs to the youth in our area
churches. Fun and filled with Scripture, kids love these presentations. Sometimes it
is easier for them to talk to a “stranger” than someone
they see every week in church. We are able to cover topics such
as:
- Dating and healthy relationships
- God’s intended plan for sex
- Consequences and risks of sexual activity
- Character building
Parent Groups This prevention resource is for parents – the number one most important
factor in determining the sexual activity of teens! These interactive presentations,
ideal for school, community and church small groups and Sunday school classes,
will equip parents not just for “THE TALK” about sex, but to build
healthy, godly sexuality into their kids’ lives. We will
discuss real life questions like:
- Can we really expect kids to wait for marriage?
- Even if we didn’t? At what age do we
tell them and how?
